two things | shades of pink

I was in a creative mood over the weekend, so I made a couple little things.

01. I finally potted and hung up my plant in our living room.   I love how it gives a little punch of color to that otherwise dull corner (What you can't see if the mess of tv and video equipment just below it.  Plants are supposed to absorb radiation, right?).  This little project was inspired by this photo. I also found the tutorial for the macrame here.

02. I picked up a little pack of rubber erasers to try my hand at carving stamps without dropping a bunch of money on an official 'stamp carving kit'.  I found it to be relatively easy, just a limiting as the size of the erasers is pretty small.  But, now I know if I ever want to make a big stamp, I can totally do it. I'm in love with that little fox.  I want to stamp him on everything!

gorgeous color

I can't get over how beautiful these images of agate are.  If anyone knows the original source, please let me know.  I'd absolutely love to buy these as large-scale prints for our entryway!

a sweet collection

I love this collection of paint dipped spoons.  I especially love the gradient of color from left to right.  I think this would look lovely mounted on canvas, framed in rustic barn wood, and hung in my kitchen.  Hmmm....looks like a d.i.y. project will have to be scheduled soon!

Summer Inspiration: Yellow and Navy

The weather is warming up for another gorgeous weekend here on the Central Coast, which gets me excited for a plethora of fun summer events, treats, outdoor projects, and cocktails.  I love yellow (as if you couldn't tell if you are a regular reader!) and lately, I've been crushing hard on the the color combo of yellow and navy blue.  Below, a little bit of summertime inspiration for your viewing pleasure.
