Wedding Website

I am designing a little wedding website for my best friend and her fianceĆ©.  Here is a sneak peek of the design I'm working with:

Card Swap!

Katie Tolve of Cute.n.Boot hit me up on Etsy the other day to do a little note card swap.  What a fun idea!  In trade for a set of "Deer Family" notecards, here is what I am eagerly awaiting getting in the mail:

Katie is currently doing a giveaway with Alicia over at The Red Deer.  Post a comment and you could win some cute cards, too!

{bon weekend}

Looking forward to a nice weekend at home.  I've got some invitations to finish, some bridesmaid cards to assemble, and an engagement party to attend.  Whew.  Not much relaxing for me...which is why when I saw this image by Jacqleen Bleu it calmed my thoughts right down.  There's something so magical about watching a kite fly.  It really brings me back to my childhood.  Days in the park or at the beach with not a care in the world.

Looking forward to picking up the new Dan Brown novel at Borders today.

Have a happy weekend everyone!

Veer Daily Twitter Challenge

One of my favorite creative websites, Veer, is hosting a series of contests called "Take a Picture (or a subscription), It'll Last Longer". Challenges vary from day to day via Twitter and week to week via the Skinny. Yesterday, I entered contest #6 via my Twitter page. The challenge asked users to post a pic of their most bewildered face. They posted the winners today and my face was one of 6 most bewildered. Prize: $199.00 to spend this month on images in their Marketplace. Wahoo!!

This is the pic I submitted:

{Was introducing the dogs and chickens a bad idea?}

Today I love...

...Heath Ceramics. This Sausalito-based pottery studio has been around since 1948 and I daresay that their original "coupe" pattern has the makings to become a classic in my kitchen. I love the simplicity and the soft colors, really letting the pottery, itself, be the focus. My favorite is the studio mug in French Grey.

Some other treasures from Heath that I particularly love:

Inkling Paper on the front page of Etsy!

The good news: An item from my shop has made it onto the front page of Etsy!
The bad news: I MISSED it! It's okay though, I found the screenshot over on the Etsy Front Pagers' Flickr photo stream. Check it out!

Fall 2009 Look Book by Madewell

Even though it has been seasonably hot around here, every fall, I always can't help but to pine over all of the fall clothing. This fall, I fell particularly hard for the the looks in the Madewell Look Book. There really are no big coats or heavy scarves, so it's just "fall" enough for a little California girl like myself.

Giveaway with The Red Deer!

I am so excited to announce this giveaway! Alicia from The Red Deer (out of Australia) was the very first person to blog about my stationery. Recently, she reached 100 followers on her blog and contacted me to sponsor a giveaway for her followers. Since I have some new deer themed products, I thought it was a great idea! Head over to her blog to see all the great goodies you can win!

Style Sneak-Vintage Country

My best friend in the whole world just got engaged to the man she has been with for NINE years! I was so thrilled when she asked me to be her matron (do I have to be a matron, can't I still be a maid? It sounds so much nicer!) of honor. We have already begun planning her wedding and I wanted to create a little inspiration board to guide us through the planning process. Her look is vintage/country chic. The best part? I get to wear cowboy boots! Happy engagement Marni and Brandon!

Today I love...

This print by Kari Jorgenson. Available at Sycamore Street Press. I am also dying to become a member of their Sycamore Club, a monthly membership that gets you one limited edition letterpress print in your mailbox each month. I would be dying waiting for each one to arrive, but I know the wait would totally be worth it since their prints are so gorgeous!

Some new goodies

Thought I'd post some images of a few new things I have in my shop!
