New in the shop!
I have a few new cards in the shop today (I know, finally!). I've been playing around with more color as of late (as probably evident by my new blog/shop/website headers) and have really been enjoying it! Cards can be found in the shop in singles and in packs of 6. Thanks for checking them out, all!
New Items in the shop!
Hello friends!
Spring is upon us (well, in California at least)! I've added lots of fun new spring-y cards to the shop as well as a (growing!) line of packaging items for all your crafting and pretty package wrapping needs. Below are a few images, but you can see the entire selection over at the shop.

Valentines Day Cards

Holiday Cards
Share the mistletoe love and snap up some of these cute holiday cards! I created these using a hand drawn illustration as well as vector graphics. The note cards are printed on 80# recycled card stock and paired with kraft envelopes. I have them in the shop as a set of 6, but as a little bonus, from now until December 25th, I will be including a single one of these babies with every order. A little holiday magic from me to you.
Bridesmaid Cards!
I had the pleasure of creating some fun bridesmaid cards for a dear friend of mine. The cards featured a paper doll chain that was personalized for each different bridesmaid. The hair, dresses, boots and dog were all hand cut with my trusty X-acto. The paper dolls were set on the main card and held with a belly band that had each girl's name printed on it. The main cards had some witty text on it detailing the responsibilities of the bridal party and the bottom was perforated with the important event dates so that the girls could tear it off and keep it in her wallet. I made wrap around address bands for the envelopes (which you can kind of see the back in the third image) with the girl's address printed on the front and Marni and Brandon's address on the back. After many (many) hours of tracing, cutting, and glueing (with help from Marni, thank goodness), behold the finished product:

Vintage Flowers
I have been on a vintage imagery kick lately, scouring the internet/libraries/goodwill for old illustrated dictioneries and botanical guides. I found a few floral images that I love and decided to give them a fresh update with some punchy color in the form of some new note cards.
Flying High
I was cleaning out my office today and I found a sketch that I had done while back. It was a very rough sketch of a couple of kites, but I had forgotten about it nonetheless and decided to bring it to life. The final version is for sale in my Etsy shop!
It's raining, it's pouring.....
We have had a wet and rainy start to the week here. Coming off a "feels like summer" weekend, it was a little bit dreary, but I have to admit, my garden is very happy! In order to appease my indoor-dwelling-self, I designed this cute note set in honor of the rain.

Paris in Spring
I was asked to design a series of cards and paper goods as a donation for a charity in Los Angeles (another one). Their theme this year is called Paris in the Spring. I decided to dig through some of my photos from when I studied there two years ago and manipulate the images to come up with a set of unique cards, etc. Here is a preview of the series:
Welcome Home!
My husband and I are less than a week away from owning our first home together! We are so excited and have already bought a few things to update it and make it our own. Paint is one of those things. We will definitely be cashing in some man hours with some friends for that project! But when it is finished, it will be such a joy to come home to a place that is ours; no common walls, no noisy neighbors (we hope!), our own parking spaces.....sigh. The excitement is building. So much so that I am thinking ahead a couple of months about a housewarming party. A Saturday afternoon, friends, beer, maybe even a cut-throat game of bocce ball.
Check out the invite I created just for the occasion! The address is not there since, well, we really don't want any strangers showing up on our front stoop. The neat part is that the bottom left corner will be perforated so that after the party, our friends and family can have a nice, wallet/address book sized "calling card" for us!

New Series
I am working on a new series of greeting cards inspired by nature. I have been playing around with texture and I think I may explore patterns like wood grain, river stones, and water. Some inspiration so far:
