Signing Off

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed this week with a bunch of things that have all landed on my plate at the same time, so I'm going to sign off from the blog early this week.

On the upside, there is light at the end of the tunnel!  On Friday, I am going down to LA for a "Crafts and Cocktails" weekend with my BFF (whose gorgeous engagement shoot you saw last week) and the other bridesmaids in her wedding.  We're going to spend the whole weekend assembling wedding invites and programs, making tissue poms, going to dress fittings, and crafting the perfect "signature cocktail" for her wedding.  It's going to be super busy, but crazy fun, too!

On the way home, there are always a few places I stop and things I must do in.  Here is a little list of my Central Coast must-haves:

A stop at the Ikea in Carson. Because the closest Ikea to my house is 3 hours away, I have to hit one up any chance I get.

Lunch at Pascucci.  I've never met a meal I didn't love here, but the Italian Cobb Salad is particularly delicious.

Power shopping at the Anthro on State Street.  This one's a no-brainer.

A cupcake at Crushcakes.  Now, those of you who know me know that I don't like cake.  BUT.  I have to make an exception for a Red Velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting at this place.

A stop to look at the waves at the Gaviota State Park.  There's never anyone here, so parking is easy and it's a beautiful spot.

All those wonderful yellow flowers are blooming right now on the hills all along the coast, so, thought it's going to be a long drive, it's going to be a gorgeous one.

For all you locals, what are your "must-do's" on your road trips?

Yay for the drive down & up to SLO! One of my favorite drives up along the 101, especially in the spring/summer times. Don't forget to stop by the Anthro store in El Segundo (by LAX) if you have time and want to check it out since it's fairly new and I believe larger than the one on State Street since you'll be going pass it on your way to the Ikea in Carson.

As for my "must-do" whenever I head up to SLO, must stop by Breakfast Buzz for some delicious breakfast burritos!
